Winter's coming so get your 'hygge' on...


Hygge (pronounced 'hoo-ga') is a 16-century Norwegian word related to the English word 'hug'. It can be broadly defined as coziness or contentment, but is also much more than that.


Hygge is an attitude of mind; a place; a feeling; an atmosphere; a way of thinking. Hygge can envelop you like a hug or a warm blanket. Particularly at this point of the year when daylight is shorter and the temperature falls, find the time to appreciate the simple things that help to make you feel good.


Relish every moment, and use all your senses to make every moment as happy (hygge) as possible…
